The winter problem

Your heating is running a dehumidifier.

Cold outdoor air holds almost no moisture. Pull it inside, warm it to 70°F, and its relative humidity collapses — most heated homes sit between 15% and 25% RH all winter, drier than the Sahara in daylight. Everything soft in the room gives up water to make up the difference. Including you.

Skin

Tight, flaking, itchy

The outer layer of skin needs about 30% ambient humidity to hold its own water. Below that, moisturizer evaporates off you faster than it absorbs.

Sinuses

The 3 a.m. dry throat

Nasal passages dry out and stop clearing properly. That's the scratchy throat you wake up with and the bloody nose that arrives every January.

Lips

Cracked by week two

Lips have no oil glands of their own. In dry air they lose moisture around ten times faster than the skin beside them.

Static

Shocks and flyaway hair

Below 30% RH there's not enough moisture in the air to bleed off static charge. Door handles start biting back.

Boxed: 40–60% — where skin, sinuses, and static all behave. A Hello Wand adds roughly 20 mL of mist an hour to the air you're actually breathing.
How it works

Three seconds of setup. No tank, ever.

Conventional humidifiers ask you to buy a reservoir, fill it, and scrub it before mould finds it. The Wand skips the reservoir entirely — it borrows a glass you already own, then you pour it out.

Drop it in water

Any glass, mug, or water bottle. The silicone stem wicks water up to the ceramic plate at the top — the perforations you can see are the intake.

Press the cap once

An ultrasonic plate vibrates at 2.4 MHz, breaking water into a cool fog of 1–5 micron droplets. No heat, no boiling, nothing hot near your hands.

Let it run, then tip it out

Seven hours on a charge, auto shut-off when the glass runs dry. When you're done, rinse the stem and the whole cleaning routine is over.

Questions

Before you buy.

Will one Wand humidify my whole house?

No, and nothing this size would. The Wand raises humidity in your personal space — the three or four feet around your desk, your pillow, or your nursery chair. That's the air you actually breathe for eight hours at a stretch, and it's where dry air does its damage. For a whole floor you want a ducted unit.

What kind of water should I use?

Distilled or filtered is best. Hard tap water leaves mineral dust on nearby surfaces over time and shortens the life of the ceramic plate. If you only have tap, wipe the plate with a damp cloth every couple of weeks.

Can I really put essential oils in it?

Yes — two or three drops in the glass. The stem and plate are oil-safe, which is unusual at this size. Skip thick carrier oils and anything with a fragrance base; pure essential oils only.

What if it doesn't help?

Use it for sixty nights. If your skin, lips, and sinuses aren't better, email us and we'll refund you and cover the return label. You don't need to send the box back in sellable condition.

How fast does it ship?

Orders placed before 2 p.m. ET go out the same day, everything else within 24 hours. US delivery takes 2–5 days.
